RACING AND TRAINING

Throughout the summer, TVT has a busy race schedule, ranging from sprint triathlon to Ironman distance and sometimes more. Many members also take part in duathlons, SwimRuns, aquabike, open water swimming events, cycling sportives, cycling time trials and all kinds of running events. Members will pick their own races depending on their goals for the season. We encourage, where possible, members who aren't racing to go along as spectators and cheer everyone along. Our supporters are often seen with such delights as pom poms, signs and assorted loud instruments to encourage our athletes - they'll certainly keep you moving! 

 

Alongside this we have our nominated Club Championship races. The winners are awarded their trophies and medals from the club at the annual awards dinner.

Training

COVID-19 has disrupted our training schedule during 2020 and now in 2021. Please contact us for details of training sessions once any lockdown restrictions are lifted.

We run training sessions every day of the week throughout the winter. The sessions and frequency you attend is completely your choice. These sessions are subsidised by the Club and run on a pay per session basis, so don't feel guilty if the curry house calls!

Most sessions are paid for using pre-paid tickets, which can be bought from the club. You will receive more details on how this works when you become a member.
