SWIMMING

Monday and Friday at 8pm, Reading Blue Coat School, Sonning Lane, Sonning RG4 6SU

We want to make sure that everyone gets their race off to a strong and confident start,
and that is why we ideally host 2 swim training sessions a week.

All our swim training runs throughout the year, and is a staple for any triathlete's training.
Every swim session welcomes all abilities, as the lanes are split by ability.

Our coached swim sessions must be pre-booked by emailing training@thamesvalleytri.com.

Bookings open at 6pm on Thursdays for the Monday sessions
and 6pm on Tuesdays for the Friday sessions.

Cost: 1 ticket (or £6 cash)

Open water swimming

During the summer months we like to get outside and into the open water. Although we don't have regular official training sessions, many of our members enjoy swimming at a number of local lakes. We are spoilt for choice in this area, and with open water swimming becoming increasingly popular, more venues are opening up all the time.

Informal meet-ups are often arranged at the lakes, which are open evenings and weekends in the summer. Many members will use these as a chance to do a brick training session to prepare for racing.
